Nigeria equips customs officers with advanced technologies
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) is enhancing its workforce's capabilities by training employees in data generation, analytics, and storage to combat smuggling more effectively. Assistant Comptroller-General of Customs, Malanta Yusuf, underscored the vital role of data in strategic planning and operational efficiency. Speaking at a workshop held at the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College, Yusuf emphasized that robust data generation and analytics are crucial for effective decision-making."This workshop is designed to equip officers with comprehensive knowledge in various aspects of data management," Yusuf stated. He added that the practical learning experience aims to empower officers in their roles, thereby contributing to the overall success of the NCS.
